Kathy Bealing, Reiki Teacher/Practitioner, Hanover, PA
“My personal testimonial with Reiki was with migraine headaches. I suffered in pain for years needing a prescription drug to get relief. Then a friend suggested Reiki after she noticed it had helped with her fibromyalgia. After regular sessions, about once a week for three months, the severity of my pain reduced to where I no longer needed medication!
Kathy has experienced many benefits from receiving Reiki, enticing her to share this gentle but powerful healing touch technique with others. She trained on all three levels of Western Style Usui Reiki starting in 2000 and completed Teacher level in 2001 with two wonderful Reiki Masters, Steve and Terry Klunk. She continues to be grateful for their guidance and encouragement as she shares this gift with others. And with them, trained also on a Master Level style of Reiki developed by William L. Rand, called Karuna Reiki (R) which she integrates as needed.
In 2008, she had the honor of training with Tadao Yamaguchi of Kyoto, Japan in a rare visit to Boston, MA in the traditional style of Reiki called Jikiden Reiki. This training validated what she had always believed to be true. That Reiki was meant to be simple, practiced with dedication, and could be learned by anyone. With Jikiden, she also felt the "Japaneseness" of the practice which is often missing in the western training. Another amazing teacher that Kathy has had the privilege to train with in the Jikiden Institute is Amanda Jayne of the UK. She truly walks the path of a spiritual student and continually inspires and motivates others to greater depths of practicing Reiki and living Life. Amanda's website is full of practical information about Reiki... a great place for anyone to start learning about Reiki.
In 2013, Kathy trained with the renown author, researcher and teacher, Frank Arjava Petter in Wilmington, DE. Arjava has written a collection of books about Reiki from it's origins, with his latest, "This is Reiki" to be one of the best in the world to date. His passion for fact finding what is truth vs. fiction in regards to Reiki is inspiring, and so greatly appreciated by the Reiki community!
Kathy has also taken workshops in "Healing Touch", ISHA - formerly "Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry". And she looks forward to working more within the medical industry helping to integrate Reiki there.
"I continue to be fascinated by energy and how it affects our health and happiness. A simple touch, can bring comfort. So if it is welcomed, why not do it?!"
